win tenth Australian interstate championships
series, held in Hobart, despite
losing to Western Australia; the Western Australians themselves lose to South
Australia and competition ends in three way tie on points, with Victoria's
superior percentage clinching title. A 'B' division, contested by host
state Tasmania, together with New South Wales, Canberra and Queensland, is won
