Individual Player Details - based on information supplied in the 'SA Football Budget', 7-11 June 1969

Coach:  Fos Williams (Port Adelaide) - Aged 46, Fos Williams is one of south Australia's greatest players and undoubtedly the most successful coach.  He has steered Port Adelaide to nine premierships and has not missed an Australian Championship series, either as a player or coach, since the War.  As a player, he took part in five successive Carnivals.  He is probably the most demanding coach in South Australia and has the ability to lift ordinary players to match winning heights.  (See footnote 1)
