
Coach: Neil Kerley (Glenelg) - Kerley, who is renowned for his tough, volatile approach to football, played more than 250 League games. He was appointed coach of West Adelaide in a shock move in 1961 and took them to a premiership that year. In 1964 he was appointed coach of South Adelaide which he coached from bottom in 1963 to premiers in 1964. He became coach of Glenelg in 1967 and lifted them to 2 successive grand finals in 1969-70. He has been the South Australian state coach on 3 previous occasions, in 1967, 1970 and 1971.
