2010:  The AFL grand final ends in a draw, St Kilda 10.8 (68) to Collingwood 9.14 (68). Collingwood wins the following week's replay comfortably, 16.12 (108) to 7.10 (52), a margin of 56 points. In the SANFL Central District wins its ninth flag in eleven seasons continuing one of the most dominant phases enjoyed by any club in the competition's history. Opposed in the grand final by Norwood, the Bulldogs have to fight tooth and nail before triumphing in the end by a single straight kick, 10.11 (71) to 9.11 (65). The WAFL grand final is almost as close as the AFL's with Swan Districts overcoming favourites Claremont by the narrowest of margins, 14.16 (100) to 14.15 (99).
