Established in 1961, the Albion Football Club is a long standing member of the Western Region Football League and its precursor competition, the Footscray District Football League. The club has enjoyed top level premiership success on three occasions, with its most recent flag coming in 2010 in division one thanks to a 17 point grand final victory over reigning premier Spotswood.
