Formed:  1893

Name History:  1893-1907 Ballarat Football Association (BFA); 1908-33 Ballarat Football League (BFL); 1934-6 saw the Ballarat Football League and the Wimmera District Football League (WDFL), whilst technically retaining their own identities and autonomy, form a temporary partnership in order to conduct a competition known as the Ballarat-Wimmera Football League (BWFL); at the end of the 1936 season, this arrangement was dissolved, with the Ballarat Football League resuming its own competition in 1937 which, with the exception of two years during World War Two, has continued until the present day

VCFL Championships:  Division One - 1956, 1981-2-3, 1986 (5 total); Division Two - 1991, 1995, 2001, 2003-4 (5 total)
