Bassendean was an inaugural member in 1967 of the Western Australian Amateur Football League’s E Grade competition, and enjoyed premiership success at the first time of asking. It followed this up with a D Grade flag in 1968. Its two most recent senior grade grand final triumphs have both been in C Grade, in 1990 and 2002. The club’s senior grade team was a C Grade finalist in 2008, as were the reserves.
