In 1999 the Eagles downed Tooradin-Dalmore in the grand final by 43 points, 16.11 (107) to 9.10 (64), while their triumph of two years later was achieved at the expense of Garfield by a margin of 58 points. Both these flags were attained in the West Gippsland Football League in which Beaconsfield participated between 1993 and 2001. The 2002 season saw the dawning of a new era in the club’s history when it transferred its affiliation to the Mornington Peninsula Nepean Football League. Placed in the Peninsula Division the Eagles wasted little time adjusting to their new environment and the 2003 and 2004 seasons brought successive premierships. Prior to commencing in the WGFL Beaconsfield had been a stalwart member of the South West Gippsland Football League since 1954, claiming senior grade flags on three occasions. The club also won a flag in the Dandenong District Football Association’s B Grade competition in 1953. Where now? or
