The Magpies joined the Ongerup Football Association in the competition’s second season, 1964. It was a happy start for the club which would go on to become the most successful in OFA history as it won the premiership. By the end of the 1960s it had added two more while during the 1970s it really flexed its muscles finishing top on no fewer than five occasions. The Magpies continued to enjoy intermittent success over the ensuing couple of decades culminating in an eleventh flag in 1997. Since then, however, the club’s fortunes have dipped markedly, and there have been no senior grade grand final appearances so far this century.
