When organised football recommenced after World War One, Bordertown again competed in the TDFA, and claimed the first post-war premiership in 1919. The club remained in this competition under its subsequent names of the Tatiara Football Association and Tatiara Football League until 1993, when football in the region was reorganised under auspices of the Kowree-Naracoorte-Tatiara Football League. Bordertown enjoyed frequent premiership success prior to 1993, but has not done so since. In 2006 the Roosters endured a dire season, managing just 1 win from 17 matches to avoid the wooden spoon only on percentage.
