BORDERTOWN

Current Affiliation:  Kowree-Naracoorte-Tatiara Football League (KNTFL) since 1993

Home Ground:  Bordertown Oval

Formed:  1908

Colours:  Red and white

Emblem:  Roosters

Senior KNTFL Premierships:  Nil

The Bordertown Football Club was established in 1908 and became a founder member of the Tatiara District Football Association three years later.  When organised football recommenced after World War One, Bordertown again competed in the TDFA, and claimed the first post-war premiership in 1919.  The club remained in this competition under its subsequent names of the Tatiara Football Association and Tatiara Football League until 1993, when football in the region was reorganised under auspices of the Kowree-Naracoorte-Tatiara Football League.  Bordertown enjoyed frequent premiership success prior to 1993, but has not done so since.  In 2006 the Roosters endured a dire season, managing just 1 win from 17 matches to avoid the wooden spoon only on percentage. Since then there has been a moderate amount of improvement with the side finishing third from last in both 2007 and 2008.
