Originally known as Bunbury Railways, the Tigers were founder members of the Bunbury-Collie Football League in 1953 as well as of its subsequent incarnation, the South West National Football League, in 1957.
Premiership victories have been intermittent, with the club's most recent success in 2001 ending an eighteen season drought. The Tigers contested the grand final again the following year, but lost badly to South Bunbury. Three consecutive unsuccessful finals campaigns followed, but then in 2006 the side managed just 5 wins from 18 matches to finish a distant 7th.
