CAMPANIA

Current Affiliation:  Oatlands District Football Association (ODFA)

Home Ground:  Campania Football Ground

Formed:  1882

Colours:  Green and gold

Emblem:  Wallabies

Senior Premierships:  Richmond Football Association (RFA) - 1933 (1 total); South Eastern District Football Association (SEDFA) - 1949, 1953, 1963 (3 total)

Campania has a long history that has not been without its problems, but has also spawned a reasonable amount of success.  On occasion the club has even had to go into recess, and from 1980 until 1990 it was merged with Richmond, but it managed to overcome these difficulties and now competes in its own right in the Oatlands District Football Association.

The Wallabies' first senior flag was claimed in 1933 in the short-lived Richmond Football Association.  After the war the club was a member of the South Eastern District Football Association for many years, going top in 1949, 1953 and 1963.  It is possible that the club actually won four SEDFA flags, but the result of the 1950 grand final clash with Colebrook cannot be traced.  Campania was a regular finalist during its timer in the SEDFA, which encompassed the years 1945 to 1965 and 1968 to 1979, and in addition to its premierships (and possible premiership) reached another nine grand finals.

In 2007 Campania endured a torrid time, and finished last in the ODFA's five team competition.
