Since the second world war the club has reached another seven senior grade grand finals but only that of 1953, against Carisbrook, resulted in a win. The Magpies entered the record books during the 1990 season when they amassed the amazing tally of 100.34 (634) against Primrose, which managed just 3.0 (18). The last few seasons have been a struggle with the side hovering near the bottom of the ladder. Things were so tough in 2007 that the club did not field any teams for the year.
