The present day club of that name was established in 1993 by means of a merger between erstwhile Eastern Suburban Churches Football Association rivals St Kevin’s Ormond and St Andrew’s Gardenvale. Adopting the same Bears emblem as its predecessor the new Caulfield Football Club was a founder member in 1993 of the Southern Football League in which it enjoyed immediate success with the reserves winning a division one flag on debut. The next season saw both the seniors and reserves going top, but since then the success has dried up. Caulfield has competed in division two since 2001 but only once during that time has it made a serious challenge for the premiership.
