The Cobras played most of their post-war football in the West Gippsland Football League, claiming a senior flag in 1986. They might be adjudged somewhat unfortunate in that they lost no fewer than half a dozen grand finals.
Since transferring to the Ellinbank and District Football League in 2005 the seniors have shown steady improvement, finishing thirteenth of fourteen teams on debut, sixth in 2006, and fourth last year. Meanwhile the reserves contested the last two grand finals, downing Bunyip in 2006, but losing to Longwarry in 2007.
