Eleven years later Cowell North re assumed the Cowell monicker, Cowell South having disbanded in 1970. Between 1963 and 1988 the club competed in the County Jervois Football League, reaching a total of seven senior grade grand finals but only once, in 1969 at the expense of Cleve, emerging as winners. The Cats were founder members of the Eastern Eyre Football League in 1989 and to date they have enjoyed grand final victory on five occasions.
