The seniors began life in the RDFL's 2nd division by losing 21 matches in succession before breaking through for their first win in round four 1973. Two years later they made the finals for the first time, eventually finishing third. In 1979 the Eagles won the 2nd division grand final, thereby achieving promotion to division one, which was the level at which they won their second senior flag in 1993. Since crossing to the EDFL Craigieburn has steadily grown in strength. After consistently making the B Grade finals, the seniors finally broke through for a premiership in 2005 when, having scored a 15 point triumph over Maribyrnong Park in the 2nd semi final, they accounted for West Coburg by 8 points in the flag decider. The side has since survived three seasons in A Grade. Where now? or
