Prior to that, a Crystal Brook combination participated in the Port Pirie Association, although whether this was the same club is unclear. With sixteen senior flags the Roosters have been the NAFA's most successful club, but recent years have been lean, with no premierships since 1992. Since the turn of the century they have fielded some strong teams, but these have all fallen short come finals time. The closest the Roosters have come to a flag of late was a losing grand final in 2006 against Broughton-Mundoora. The following year a good minor round was ruined by successive finals losses to Orroroo and Broughton-Mundoora. Where now? or |
