In 2009, the Dingley Football Club will have been in existence for half a century, and fittingly, having claimed the Southern Football League’s division two premiership in 2008, it will commemorate the anniversary by lining up alongside that competition’s elite clubs in division one for the first time. The Dingos commenced in the SFL in 2005, having spent the previous decade as members of the Mornington Peninsula Nepean Football League. Prior to that the club competed in the South West Gippsland Football League, claiming a senior grade flag in 1994.
