EAST MELBOURNE

Affiliated:  VFA 1877-82

Premierships:  Nil

East Melbourne was one of eight senior foundation members of the Victorian Football Association, in which it competed from 1877 to 1882 before disbanding.  Prior to its VFA involvement the club had been acknowledged as enjoying senior status for several years but it was seldom powerful enough to challenge the leading teams of the day, notably Carlton and Melbourne.
