Competing in A2 Grade, the club struggled initially, and did not manage to win a match until its second season. By 1964, however, the Demons had developed into a force to be contended with. They ultimately reached the grand final that year, but lost to Elizabeth North. After that the club did not re-emerge as a consistent force until the late 1970s. The first of its four A2 Grade CDFA premierships was claimed in 1978 at the expense of Central United. Further A2 Grade flags followed in 1980, 1981 and 1987. In 1988 the CDFA was renamed the Northern Metropolitan Football League. Eastern Park reached the division two grand final that year only to lose to Ovingham. Nevertheless, as runners-up the side was accorded promotion to division one, where it competed for half a dozen seasons, reaching the grand final in the last of them, but losing to Brahma Lodge. Since 1995 the club has competed in the South Australian Amateur Football League. Initially placed in division six, its progress through the ranks to division one has included grand final wins in 1997 (division six), 1998 (division five), and 2010 (division two). The Demons’ reserves have enjoyed a fair amount of success over the years, playing off for the premiership a total of eight times, and succeeding in 1991, 1996, 1997 and 2002. Where now? or
