Prior to joining the Western Australian Amateur Football League the Eels had spent time in the Mercantile Football Association (2002), the Hills Football Association (2003 to 2005), and the Saturday amateur competition (2006). In both 2002 and 2004 they made the senior grade grand final only to lose, respectively, to Yanchep and Swan Valley.
