In 2008 the seniors won 5 of their 18 matches to end up in seventh position out of ten teams. The reserves fared slightly better, managing 6 victories for the year. The Hawks achieved promotion to division one in 2006 when they defeated Deer Park by 32 points, 13.20 (98) to 8.8 (56), in the division two grand final. This had been their fourth division two grand final in seven seasons, with the previous three all resulting in losses at the hands of Yarraville in 2000, North Sunshine in 2003, and Altona in 2005. Glenorden’s only other senior grade WRFL premiership was claimed in 1992, in the division three competition which ran from 1988 until 1998.
