Hadfield Football Club was established in 1971.  The club evolved from a team representing the Hadfield Community Youth Club, which had been formed in 1961.  Known as the Hawks, Hadfield won an open age premiership in C Grade at the first time of asking, and has since added two B Grade flags to its haul.

Hadfield's seniors have struggled of late, winning just 15 of out of 84 matches over the last five seasons.
