HENLEY (Henley Greek)Current Affiliation: South Australian Amateur Football League (SAAFL) since 1994 Home Ground: Henley Memorial Oval Formed: 1994, through the merger of Henley District and Old Scholars with Greek Colours: Navy blue and white Emblem: Sharks Senior SAAFL Premierships: Division One - 2010 (1 total); Division Two - 2004 (1 total) The original Henley Football Club was established in 1906 and later undertook a succession of mergers to become known at different times as Henley Grange, Henley Beach and, finally, Henley District and Old Scholars. This last named organisation was successful in claiming South Australian Football Association premierships in 1992 and 1993. Greek meanwhile had enjoyed considerable success in the South Australian Amateur Football League both ‘flying solo’ and in concert with Camden as Greek Camden. The modern incarnation of Henley, which played as Henley Greek for its first four seasons, enjoyed a particularly exceptional year in 2004 when it won division two, division two reserves, division seven, and division seven reserves flags. The club's inaugural division one premiership was claimed in 2010 at the expense of Sacred Heart Old Collegians. Final scores in the grand final were Henley 11.6 (72) defeated Sacred Heart 7.5 (47).
