KENMORE

Current Affiliation:  AFL Queensland State Association (AFLQSA)

Club Address:  P.O. Box 5081, Kenmore East, Queensland 4068

Home Ground:  Chelmer Oval

Formed:  1997

Colours:  Green and gold

Emblem:  Bears

Senior Premierships:  AFL South Queensland Division Three - 1997-8, 2002 (3 total); AFLQSA Division Two - 2006 (1 total)

Formed as recently as 1997, the Bears have already made significant strides, with their seniors gaining a place in the State Association's top division this year.  The club won a senior flag in its debut season, and went back to back the following year.  A third senior premiership followed in 2002.

Saturday 9th September 2006 was the proudest day in Kenmore's brief history to date as the seniors trounced Logan Cobras in the State Association's Division Two grand final by 77 points.  The Bears led at every change by 31, 52 and 73 points, with Tom Cook best on ground, and Shayne Etherton contributing 6 of his team's 22 goals.

Kenmore's debut season in the State Association's top division saw the side acquit itself creditably, winning 7 out of 18 matches to finish 8th (of 10).
