KILCUNDA-BASS

Current Affiliation:  Alberton Football League (AlbFL) since 2005

Formed:  1957, when the Kilcunda and Bass Football Clubs merged

Colours:  Navy blue and white

Emblem:  Panthers

Senior Premierships:  Bass Valley-Wonthaggi and District Football League - 1957, 1960 (2 total)

In 1955, both Bass and Kilcunda were founder members of the Bass Valley-Wonthaggi and District Football League. After two unsuccessful seasons, the clubs merged, with the new club immediately claiming a premiership. This success was repeated three years later, but since then there have been no further senior flags.

Between 1996 and 2001 the Panthers competed in the West Gippsland Football League, and then in the West Gippsland-Latrobe Football League until 2004. In 2005 they entered the Alberton Football League where they have been competitive without, as yet, making a legitimate tilt at premiership honours.
