KILMORECurrent Affiliation: Riddell District Football League (RDFL) since 1987 Home Ground: JJ Clancey Reserve, Kellys Lane Club Address: P.O. Box 202, Kilmore 3764, Victoria Website: www.kilmorefnc.com Email: info@kilmorefnc.com Colours: Navy blue, light blue and white Emblem: Blues Senior RDFL Premierships: 2001 (1 total); Division Two - 1987, 1994 (2 total) The Blues have had three separate stints in the Riddell District Football League, in 1932, from 1947 to 1984, and between 1987 and the present day. Of these, the second stint has proved to be more successful, with the seniors claiming division two premierships in 1987 and 1994, and a premiership in 2001 of the entire competition, which adopted a single division format in 1997. The club’s 2001 triumph, which came courtesy of a 12.12 (84) to 7.4 (46) grand final defeat of Woodend Hesket, was especially memorable in that the side managed to win every game for the year. There are records of a Kilmore Football Club engaging in scratch matches as early as the 1870s, but on the whole details of the club’s history and achievements prior to the second world war have proved difficult to uncover. After world war two the Blues spent a single season in the Hulme Highway Football League before embarking on their second stint in the RDFL. After the club temporarily left the RDFL at the end of the 1984 season it competed for the next couple of years in the Panton Hill Football League. Where now? or
