LEARMONTH

Current Affiliation:  Central Highlands Football League (CHFL) since 1979

Colours:  Royal blue and gold

Emblem:  Lakers

Senior Premierships:  Clunes Football Association/League - 1952, 1955 (2 total)

The Lakers, or Lakies, were members of the Learmonth District Football Association and, briefly, the Burrumbeet and District Football Association prior to joining the Clunes Football Association in 1940, which was the competition's tenth season.

Learmonth's two CFA/L premierships came in 1952 and 1955. The side was runner-up in 1977. No senior flags have yet been claimed in the Central Highlands Football League, of which the Lakers were founder members in 1979. In 1994 they reached the grand final from the elimination final, but lost to Dunnstown.

The Lakers performed consistently well during the 2008 home and away rounds, winning 15 of their 17 home and away matches to qualify for the finals in second place. However, although they managed to defeat Waubra in the qualifying final, they underachieved in their subsequent finals, losing to Hepburn in the second semi final and Daylesford in the preliminary final for an ultimate finishing position of third.
