Mitiamo Football Club was engaging in organised competitive football as early as 1892 when it was a founder member of the Pyramid Hill District Football Association. Prior to world war one the club claimed at least three premierships, although because of the somewhat sketchy nature of the records for the competitions concerned, there may well have been more.

The 1920s proved to be an excellent decade for Mitiamo which was a regular finalist, and claimed two premierships from four grand finals. By contrast the 1930s produced just a single losing grand final appearance, against Pyramid Hill in 1936.

Mitiamo's post-world war two record is a creditable one with the club having claimed senior grade flags in 1952 in the Mitiamo District Football League, and 1967, 1977, 1979 and 1999 in the Loddon Valley Football League, the competition in which the Superoos have participated since 1956.

In 2008 Mitiamo's seniors and reserves both finished fourth out of nine teams. A year later the seniors scored a resounding grand final victory over a Calivil United team which was attempting to procure its seventh successive flag. Final scores were Mitiamo 22.11 (143) defeated Calivil United 12.13 (85).
