Current Affiliation: Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA) since 1997 Home Ground: Mt Lilydale Mercy College Sporting Ovals, Quarry Road, Lilydale Formed: 1997 Colours: Royal blue and gold Senior VAFA Premierships: Nil Senior Competition Best and Fairest Awards: Nil Since its formation in 1997 Mt Lilydale has not always been in a position to field the two senior teams necessary for full scale participation in the VAFA's mainstream competitions. However, it has certainly not just been there to make up the numbers, reaching the D4 Grade grand final in 2003, and winning a Club XVIII premiership in 2006. In 2007 the club resumed its mainstream presence by competing in D4 Section, with last season's Club XVIII premiership coach, Nathan Pearce, at the helm. In what was overall a highly creditable debut the side won 11 of its 18 matches to clinch 4th spot on the ladder, before bowing out of premiership contention in the 1st semi final against St Mary's.
