MUNDULLACurrent Affiliation: Kowree-Naracoorte-Tatiara Football League (KNTFL) since 1993 Home Ground: Mundulla Oval Colours: Black and gold Emblem: Tigers Senior KNTFL Premierships: 1994-5-6-7-8-9-00, 2002, 2004 (9 total) In 1911, Mundulla was one of three inaugural members of the Tatiara Football Association, in which it remained involved until 1993. The club enjoyed consistent success, particularly between the wars. When competition was suspended after the outbreak of World War Two Mundulla was the association's most successful club, having claimed a total of 11 A Grade premierships. After the war, further A Grade flags were added intermittently, but since commencing in the Kowree-Naracoorte-Tatiara Football League the Tigers have roared as never before, winning an astonishing seven senior flags in succession between 1994 and 2000, and nine in the eleven seasons between 1994 and 2004. By its own recent exalted standards, the 2006 season was a major disappointment, with the side managing just 6 wins from its 17 minor round matches to finish 8th (of 12). Where now? or |
