NORTH WARRNAMBOOL (Northern Districts)

Current Affiliation:  Hampden Football League (HFL) since 1997

Formed:  1986 as Northern Districts Football Club following a merger between Bushfield and Grassmere; changed name to North Warrnambool on joining the Hampden Football League in 1997

Colours:  Navy blue, gold and white

Emblem:  Eagles

Senior Premierships:  Warrnambool and District Football League (W&DFL) - 1994 (1 total)

Maskell Medallists:  Jason Porter 2002 (1 total)

Originally known as Northern Districts, the Eagles spent their first decade competing in the Warrnambool and District Football League, contesting grand finals in 1992, when they lost by 29 points to Old Collegians, and 1994, when they overcame East Warrnambool by 63 points.

Since crossing to the much stronger Hampden Football League in 1997 the club, known since then as North Warrnambool, has been unable to add to its premiership tally, and indeed has not yet qualified for a grand final. Recent seasons have been a struggle, although there were some encouraging signs in 2007 when the side managed 4 wins after failing to win a single game in both 2005 and 2006.
