During the pre-World One period the club developed an intense rivalry with Rovers as the two clubs dominated the competition. Railways' prominence continued after the war, and indeed right until the formation, in 1961, of a broader-based competition, the Great Northern Football League. The Blues were founder members of this competition, and won the inaugural premiership. They have since amassed a league record 10 senior titles, but it is now almost two decades since the last of these. Where now? or |
