SOUTH COLAC

Current Affiliation:  Colac and District Football League (CDFL)

Colours:  Royal blue and white

Emblem:  Kangaroos

Senior CDFL Premierships:  1951, 1978, 1988, 1997, 2002 (5 total)

Boasting the respectable record of five senior premierships since 1951, South Colac has been a mainstay of the Colac and District Football League for almost six decades. The club's most recent flag in 2002 was arguably the most dramatic and memorable. Thrashed by Lorne in the second semi final to the tune of 99 points, the Kangaroos recovered to scrape past Forrest in the following week's preliminary final by 4 points. Then, in the premiership decider, they turned the form book on its head with a 14.8 (92) to 12.11 (83) revenge triumph over Lorne.

Three seasons after their 2002 heroics the 'Roos experienced the other side of the ledger when they succumbed to a winless wooden spoon. Since then there has been a modicum of improvement with the side managing a 3-15 record in 2006 and 4-14 last year to finish ninth (of eleven) both times.
