Originally known as Southern
Districts, the Cats replaced Sandy Bay, which had
been forced to disband, in the TFL Statewide competition in 1998. Coached
by a former Sandy Bay man in Troy Clarke, they lasted little over a season
before disbanding themselves. Their final match was played on 29th May
1999.
