Current Affiliation: Essendon District Football League (EDFL) since 1991 (juniors) and 1993 (seniors) Formed: 1990 as a junior club; seniors commenced in 1993 Home Ground: Taylors Lake Reserve Colours: Royal blue and gold Emblem: Lions Senior EDFL Premierships: B Grade - 2010 (1 total) League Best and Fairest Awards: B Grade (W.Hutchison Medal) - W.Duggan 1999; M.Desousa 2009 (2 total) Taylors Lakes began as a junior club, fielding teams at under ten and under twelve levels. The club first affiliated with the Essendon District Football League in 1991, and within three years it boasted teams in every level of competition from under tens to seniors. In 2005 the club enjoyed one of its finest seasons to date, with both seniors and reserves qualifying for the B Grade finals, with the reserves eventually reaching the grand final only to lose to Craigieburn. The seniors next qualified for the grand final in 2010 and this time achieved their breakthrough success at the expense of Pascoe Vale. Where now? or |
